VICTORY  PRAISE  BAND

Bud Stephens is a 5th generation Florida native. Born and raised in the farmland of the Florida panhandle, he was fortunate to be born into a large family with strong, Godly parents.

Bud was saved and called into the ministry as a teen-ager in West Florida Assemblies of God youth camp and began preaching when he was 16. When he graduated from high school he began formal training for the ministry in 1975 at Southeastern Bible College, now Southeastern University.

Coming from parents that loved music and having a mother who taught him to play guitar as a young boy, Bud gained a love and appreciation of music from the time he was a small child. Not having a great deal of confidence in himself as a singer, he sought the Lord earnestly and promised God that if he would be blessed with a singing voice that he would always use his talent to glorify God. He began singing solos in church at 19 and has done his best to bring glory to God through ministry in song ever since.

Sam was born in 1968 in Pittsburgh, PA, tthe 6th child out of 7 siblings. A big sports fan, he is in love with the Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers, and Penguins.

Sam started playing drums in 1987, and started serving the Lord with his talent when he got saved in 1999. He came to Victory in August, 2010, and he has been a blessing to the Praise Band since then. He states that he knows that Victory is the place that God has sent him to, and where he is supposed to serve Him.

For the last nineteen years, he has been married to the love of his life, Karen, and they have a 17 year old son, Sammy, who plays bass guitar at Victory. Sam is a very talented asset to the Praise Band here at Victory.

Sammy was born in Butler, Pennsylvania, in November of 1993. He starts Riverdale High School in Fort Myers this year, and is looking forward to completing his education.

Sammy also came to the Lord in 1999, and has been serving Christ since then.

When his father started playing the drums in 2010, Sammy indicated that he wanted to learn the electric bass guitar. Diligently learning and practicing, Sammy started playing with the Praise Band, learning his instrument "on the job" so to speak.

He faithfully attends the Saturday night practices, and has worked hard to serve the Lord in this important ministry.
